Jack Kaye, Chairman

With over 35 years business experience, Jack established of one of the first mobile phone network resellers in 1984 - his company was eventually sold to Hutchison Whampoa and formed the basis of what is now the Orange mobile phone network in the UK. He has a history of developing a number of successful businesses and holds Executive positions including that of CEO, on the boards of a number of Private and Publicly Quoted Companies in both Europe and North America. He is also involved in the Alternative Energy sector, through his private investment company Montroyal.

 

 

 

 

Stewart Lawson, Operations Director

Stewart started his working life in the Logistics Industry and from an early age demonstrated the drive to succeed. Stewart eventually found himself heading up of the UK's leading Courier Companies. Although Stewart's role saw him working closely with the directors of the company, he remained active at the sharp end of operations. This stood him in good stead when the business ventured in to pre hospital care. SInce this time he has continued to deliver winning strategies and now leads AST in to a bright future.

 

 

 

 

Tony Hannigan, Technical Director & Head of Scottish Operations

Tony began his career in Healthcare back in 1993 and has worked in all areas Patient Transport throughout that time. He has amassed a vast knowledge of pre hospital care and also International Patient Repatriation. Currently heading up the companies Technical Department, he is responsible for all IT Systems within the organisation as well as new Vehicle Builds. Tony divides his time between our London HQ and our office in Stirling Scotland. He oversees our operations in the Scottish region.

 

 

 

 

Richard Holder, Finance Director

Richard started out in Accounting after leaving school. Having worked his way up the ladder at various Accounting practices, he decided to set up his own practice in 2005. His business progressed to become one of Chichester's leading firms. Richard's know how and experience in the wider world brings a safe pair of hands to this unique service area.

 

 

 

 

Paul Thompson Paramedic, Clinical Lead

Paul has 35 years experience of serving the public in health care provision. From a nursing background, Paul joined London Ambulance Service in 1983, where he qualified as a paramedic and became a team leader. He subsequently achieved the Diploma of Higher Education at Hertfordshire University and trained as an IHCD Ambulance Instructor teaching in both London Ambulance Service and The University of Hertfordshire on the full time Paramedic degree program. Paul has also worked extensively in the private sector as a paramedic and trainer over the last 6 years. As Clinical lead for AST Paul oversees all policies and practice relating to patient care, yet remains active within our operations team. His experience is essential and he provides a listening ear to all our team.

Richard Haynes, Head of Training

Richard joined the business in 1996. Having worked in various industries prior to joining us, Richard's experience has proved invaluable in providing 'real world' scenarios when providing Training Courses. He continues to ensure he is at the top of his game by retraining as well as exploring new concepts and methods of training. He leads our team of trainers not only for our own staff, but also heads up our Training Services to the public at large.

 

 

 

 

Colin George, Customer Service & Fleet Management

Colin brings a wealth of experience in both NHS and private sector Healthcare. Having spent a large part of his career in Vehicle Fleet Management and logistics, he joined the NHS in 1999. Having run several Patient Transport contracts at a senior level, Colin has a strong focus on delivering quality customer service, as well as providing the best fleet of vehicles possible. He continues this ethos in his work at AST Ambulance Service.
