1st June 2011 - AST goes green! .....
AST Ambulance Service is all too aware of the impact our services can have on our environment. In a bid to battle against the effects our vehicles have on Carbon Emissions we have chosen to participate in a Carbon Off Setting Scheme.
The Scheme is run by an organisation called Carbonica.It is based around carbon off setting and allows us to invest money in various environmental schemes around the world. Many companies in the UK have chosen to reinvest in the worlds future by contributing monetaryassistance to projects which work to replace the carbon deposits we they create.
Stewart Lawson, our Operations Director said;
"I firmly believe in the work we are doing with Carbonica. It is our duty wherever possible to minimise the impact our service has on the environment and we will continue to work towards a zero level of carbon emissionsif possible".
